The Consumables business area is looking for a Product Safety Compliance Engineer to manage product safety compliance and support the strategic initiative on Design for Safety. The Product Safety Compliance Engineer manages compliance requirements for Consumables products and sign-off on compliance-related documents. Target is also to develop a process for ensuring compliance is embedded in new product launches and focus on project management of the Design for Safety initiative. This position reports to the head of QEHS in Consumables and works in close cooperation with all our Business Lines.

We are looking for a person with a sound technical background and being up to date with the latest regulatory developments in the industry. The ideal person for this position holds solid analytical skills alongside the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to other employees and management. The individual also needs to be a strong collaborator and work across the business lines with Product Managers.

Main responsibilities

Ensuring the BA's technical compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conducting tests and studies and completing internal audits into product compliance.
Instituting best-practice procedures for compliance and risk mitigation.
Developing projects and implementation plans for compliance-related matters and Design for safety.
Explaining and defining compliance protocols and measures to stakeholders and relevant authorities.
Supporting complaints and technical issues relating to product design and manufacturing.
Advising management on compliance-related matters.

Preferred background

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Experience with product testing and process analysis.
Skilled in CNS operations or project management.
The ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
Solid technical knowledge and understanding of product/process design.
Problem-solving abilities are essential.
