Philochem AG is the R&D department of Philogen and it is located in Otelfingen (Zurich, Switzerland).
Job description
Philochem AG, is seeking a highly motivated and cooperative Laboratory Technician (60-100%) to join our R&D group. Your main role would be to carry out various tasks critical for the maintenance of the lab, and to support our team of scientists working on internal research projects.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Teaming up with the Head of Antibody Therapeutics to ensure good work organization.
- Ordering and receiving laboratory supplies.
- Managing inventory and restocking consumables.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair.
- Preparing stock solutions, reagent’s aliquots and buffers.
- IT activity: Control and distribution of user software licenses and email service; control (computer repairs etc.) and distribution of hardware and network for users and machines; checking and installing user and machine backups; checking servers.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor degree or apprenticeship degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
- Experience with basic analytical protein biochemistry.
- Strong experience with IT-related activities.
- Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of German would be ideal.
