J&W Agri-Corp is a family owned company, specializing in transportation & distribution. We are seeking a results-oriented Dispatcher for local/long hauls.
This position requires a self-motivated individual that is able to manage and work as a team player, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and coordinate multiple players and resources. Must be a problem solver. Must be able to communicate well with others and perform basic math calculations. Must be someone who pays close attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all dispatching and scheduling functions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate all equipment moves to maximize efficiencies and minimize excess costs or delays for our customers.
- Assign daily dispatches fairly and efficiently, making sure that all requirements are met.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring maximum service levels are met.
- Responsible for the daily dispatch of drivers.
- Maintain all safety/DOT compliance for all drivers and outside carriers, ensuring that all are current and in good standing.
- Be courteous and respectful to all drivers, customers, and staff.
- Responsible to set up following days dispatches before going home for the day.
- Answer the dispatch phone & find loads.
- Ensure all drivers are turning in paperwork in a timely manner
- Review driver's logbooks and day sheets to verify moves
- Support and assist other customer service representatives and operational personnel as needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Experience dispatching is preferred but not required.
- Transportation background is required
- Proficient with use of MS Office, including Word & Excel.
- Knowledge of google maps, email, ability to run miles & pin drops.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $600.00 - $800.00 per week
